  • Brown sugar260 g
  • Wheat flour240 g
  • Hot water200 ml
  • Vegetable oil2 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon powder2 teaspoon
  • Clove powder1 teaspoon
  • Ginger Powder2 coffee spoon
  • Nutmeg2 coffee spoon
  • Salt1 coffee spoon
  • Lemon zest1 coffee spoon
  • Cardamom (optional)1 coffee spoon
  • Baking soda3 coffee spoon
  1. Completely dissolve the brown sugar in the hot water, stirring well.
  2. Add the salt, oil and spices and mix well.
  3. After cooling, add the flour and mix well with a fouet.
  4. Add the sifted bicarbonate and mix well.
  5. Pour over greased and floured aluminum pans or paper pans.
  6. Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 20 minutes. (Do the toothpick test)
  7. Unmold and let cool on a wire rack. The consistency improves even more the next day.
