- Brown sugar260 g
- Wheat flour240 g
- Hot water200 ml
- Vegetable oil2 tablespoon
- Cinnamon powder2 teaspoon
- Clove powder1 teaspoon
- Ginger Powder2 coffee spoon
- Nutmeg2 coffee spoon
- Salt1 coffee spoon
- Lemon zest1 coffee spoon
- Cardamom (optional)1 coffee spoon
- Baking soda3 coffee spoon
- Completely dissolve the brown sugar in the hot water, stirring well.
- Add the salt, oil and spices and mix well.
- After cooling, add the flour and mix well with a fouet.
- Add the sifted bicarbonate and mix well.
- Pour over greased and floured aluminum pans or paper pans.
- Bake in a preheated medium oven for about 20 minutes. (Do the toothpick test)
- Unmold and let cool on a wire rack. The consistency improves even more the next day.
