Type 1 brown rice (I used thin dish)

Chopped walnuts

Cranberries

Extra virgin olive oil

Ground Garlic

Salt

Onion finely chopped

Christmas Brown Rice with Cranberries and Nuts 🎄😋

Pré aqueça uma panela e coloque o azeite, o alho moído e a cebola picada 

Preheat a pan and put the olive oil, the ground garlic and the chopped onion.

Cubra com água até uns dois dedos acima do arroz 

Cover with water up to two fingers above the rice

Deixe a panela meio tampada e espere cozinhar 

Leave the pan covered and wait for it to cook.

Quando a água estiver quase toda absorvida coloque as nozes picadas e as cranberries e mexa bem (não gosto das cranberries moles então espero para colocar no final quando o arroz já está quase pronto)

When the water is almost completely absorbed, add the chopped walnuts and cranberries and mix well (I don't like mushy cranberries so I wait until the end when the rice is almost done)

Espere secar totalmente a água e desligue o fogo, retire o arroz da panela e pronto 😋

Wait for the water to dry completely and turn off the heat, remove the rice from the pan and that's it 😋

Pode substituir as cranberries por uva passa se preferir 😉

You can replace the cranberries with raisins if you prefer 😉
