Christmas Brown Rice with Cranberries and Nuts đđ

- Recipe
- Type 1 brown rice (I used thin dish)2 cup
- Chopped walnuts1 cup
- Cranberries1 cup
- Extra virgin olive oil2 tablespoon
- Ground Garlic to taste
- Salt to taste
- Onion finely chopped1/2 unit(s)
- Preheat a pan and put the olive oil, the ground garlic and the chopped onion.
- Let the garlic sauté and brown a little
- Add the rice and sauté everything
- Put the salt to taste
- Cover with water up to two fingers above the rice
- Leave the pan covered and wait for it to cook.
- When the water is almost completely absorbed, add the chopped walnuts and cranberries and mix well (I don't like mushy cranberries so I wait until the end when the rice is almost done)
- Wait for the water to dry completely and turn off the heat, remove the rice from the pan and that's it đ
- Serve then đ
- Great option for Christmas dinner đ
- You can replace the cranberries with raisins if you prefer đ
