  • Black rice1/2 cup
  • Garlic Cloves2 unit(s)
  • Chopped red onion2 tablespoon
  • Pupunha heart of palm100 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil to taste
  • Basil for garnish to taste
  • Herbs for garnish to taste
  1. Rice: Soak in boiling salted water for 12 minutes. Drain and reserve the liquid.
  2. In a pan, sauté the garlic and onion in oil. Add the rice and 100 ml of the reserved liquid. Salt. If necessary add more water. The rice is very al dente.
  3. Wrap the pupunha seasoned with oil and salt in aluminum foil. Bake for 1 and a half hours in the medium oven.
  4. After baking, cut into cubes and mold over the rice.
  5. Garnish with tomato and herbs. Help yourself!
