Stuffed butternut squash buns

  • warm milk1 cup
  • Sugar1 cup
  • Boiled Cassava250 g
  • Wheat flour2 cup
  • Margarine2 tablespoon
  • Eggs2 unit(s)
  • Gem1 unit(s)
  • Oil1 tablespoon
  1. In a bowl, place the warm milk, a spoonful of sugar and flour (as needed to form a thick porridge).
  2. Note: Let rise for about 10 minutes.
  3. In the same bowl, add the manioc (squeezed), salt, margarine, eggs and the rest of the sugar.
  4. Mix them all very well and add the wheat flour until you reach the point where you can roll.
  5. Note: Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  6. To make the buns, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough. Fill with sausage (same as in the photo) or if you prefer, you can use ham and fresh cheese.
  7. Then place on a lightly greased tray, take it to the preheated oven at 180°C and leave for about 15 minutes.
  8. Remove the buns from the oven, mix the yolk with the oil to brush, then put the buns back in the oven and leave until golden.
