- Baking powder01 tablespoon
- Bicarbonate1 g
- Milk1/2 cup
- Orange juice01 cup
- Orange zest02 tablespoon
- Orange jam or compotq1/2 cup
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a round shape with butter and wheat flour, set aside.
- Mix the milk and orange juice and wait for it to curdle.
- Beat (I like to beat by hand) the butter and sugar until it forms a fluffy and whitish cream. 🍊Add the eggs, one by one, beating after each addition. 🍊 Add the wheat flour and stir slowly, mix well. Add the skimmed milk and mix well. A little kinkan jam (optional). 🍊Add orange zest, bicarbonate and baking soda. Mix well without beating.
- Put it in a shape (round or English cake if you prefer), let it bake for about 50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 🍊Draw while still warm.
