  • Ingredients
  • Recipe
  • Wheat flour1 kg
  • Cornstarch or flour improver10 g
  • Sugar6 tablespoon
  • Salt1 coffee spoon
  • Eggs3 unit(s)
  • Organic Yeast10 g
  • Margarine or butter2 tablespoon
  • warm milk450 ml
  • Egg Yolk1 unit(s)
  • Milk20 ml
  1. In a bowl add the warm milk, yeast, sugar and stir well and let it act for 10 minutes. This step is called sponge. It is quite important for the development of your bread. Here the yeast starts to work.
  2. After the sponge process, add the butter or margarine, add the 3 eggs and mix well, then add the salt and cornstarch and mix well.
  3. Gradually add the wheat flour, the amount will depend on the size of your eggs, the amount of lipid in your butter, so it can vary from 800g to 1kg of wheat flour, add around 500g to 600g and put it in a bench to knead, feel the dough and gradually add the rest of the flour until you see that it has reached the point. The point is when the dough is smooth, very soft. Knead the dough for like 10 minutes, 15 minutes, the more you knead, the softer your bread will be. Don't pass the point of flour, knead well before adding more flour, sometimes the dough doesn't give the point due to lack of flour, but because it didn't knead enough. If you need to, rub a little butter on your hand to help with the kneading.
  4. Knead the dough very lightly to rest in a sealed container, either with a lid, plastic film or even a clean dish towel, take it to rest in a warm place, like inside the oven, or even under the sun outside the house. Let it rest for 40 minutes or until it doubles in size.
  5. After 40 minutes, mold your breads in the shape you want and place in a greased shape with flour and butter. Leave space between the buns as they will rise a little longer. Here I molded it like a loaf of bread, but they got a little bigger.
  6. Shaped the buns, put them to rise again for about 30 minutes to 40 minutes. With about 8 minutes left for your bread to finish rising, put your fire to heat to 200°C.
  7. After 40 minutes, beat an egg yolk with 20ml of milk in a cup, beat well, and brush on top of the rolls.
  8. Bake the buns in an oven at 200°C for approximately 25 to 35 minutes. It will depend from oven to oven, keep an eye out, your bun has browned on top, and it already smells, it's good.
  9. Remove the bread from the oven and then brush butter over them, this will help to brighten your bread, and make it tastier. Fully optional step.
  10. Finally, just take the opportunity to eat a warm bread with a wonderful black coffee.
