- Wheat Flour4 cup
- Water1 cup
- Pork lard1/2 cup
- Ground beef300 g
- Boiled Eggs4 unit(s)
- Cumin1 to taste
- Sweet Paprika1 to taste
- Olive oil1 to taste
- Black Pepper1 to taste
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Salt for the filling1 to taste
- Onion1 unit(s)
- Boil the water with the lard.
- Pour the boiled water with the lard over the flour and salt.
- Mix with a spoon
- When you can no longer move with the spoon, knead with your hands just to add the ingredients (not for kneading)
- With the dough ready, put it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Filling: Fry the meat in oil
- With the meat well fried, put the onion, cumin, sweet paprika and salt
- With the meat well sautéed, place the boiled eggs, roughly chopped.
- Mounting: With the dough ready, roll it out with a rolling pin.
- Cut the dough into circular pieces (I used a round pot to help me cut)
- Place the cold stuffing over the dough
- Close the dough by folding it in the same way as with the pastel.
- With the empanadas all closed, brush an egg yolk over them
- Bake in preheated oven until golden. (about half an hour)
