- Plain yogurt1.25 cup
- Lemon zest1 teaspoon
- Yeast1.5 tablespoon
- Strawberries1 cup
- Water1.5 cup
- Sugar1/2 cup
- First prepare the strawberry syrup by taking the chopped strawberries, 1 and a half cup of water and half a cup of sugar in a pan. Let it cook over low heat until the strawberries break down and the broth thickens.
- Prepare the cake by adding 3 eggs, 2 tablespoons of margarine and 1 cup of sugar to a large bowl. Beat with the mixer or fouet.
- Add natural yogurt and sifted wheat flour. Sifting the flour makes the cake lighter!
- Beat until it's a smooth dough.
- Add the lemon zest and yeast. Just mix well, no need to beat.
- Pour the dough into a greased and floured mold and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes.
- Develop the warm cake, make holes with a fork and pour the strawberry syrup.
- The cake is very light, soft, with a mild flavor and delicious freshness. Perfect for hot days!
