  • warm milk150 ml
  • Demerara sugar4 tablespoon
  • Organic Dry Yeast5 g
  • Eggs2 unit(s)
  • Butter1 tablespoon
  • Salt1/2 coffee spoon
  • Wheat Flour (approximately)550 g
  • Egg beaten with milk1 unit(s)
  • Cinnamon to taste
  1. Mix the sugar, yeast and warm milk (the milk must not be too hot so as not to interfere with the action of the yeast). Reserve.
  2. In a bowl, add the reserved mixture to the eggs, butter and salt. Mix well.
  3. Then gradually add the flour, mixing the dough with your hands. The flour should be added only until the dough comes off the hands. Too much flour will make the breads dry.
  4. Transfer the dough to a bench and knead until it is very smooth (about 10 to 20 minutes for manual kneading). The lack of kneading will make the loaves hard. After kneading, return the dough to the bowl, brush a little oil or olive oil on its surface and let it rest until it doubles in size (about 40 minutes on hot days) covered by a plastic film/dishcloth.
  5. After doubling in volume, separate small portions of dough and shape the rolls in the desired shape (do not shape large portions). Place them in a greased pan, cover with a tea towel and let them rest until they double in size (about 50 minutes on a hot day).
  6. Brush the buns with egg beaten in milk and bake at 180 degrees for about 7 minutes (time varies depending on the size of the buns/oven power) or until golden in a preheated oven. Don't bake too much so they don't dry out.
  7. After baking, brush the buns with a hot syrup of water, butter, sugar and cinnamon.
