  • Mashed sweet potato2 cup
  • Sweet sprinkle1 cup
  • Sweet sprinkle1/2 cup
  • Sour Sprinkle1/2 cup
  • Chemical Yeast1 teaspoon
  • Water1/4 cup
  • Oil of your choice5 tablespoon
  • Salt and dried herbs to taste
  1. In a large bowl, sift the sprinkles, the yeast, mix them and set aside.
  2. Put water, oil and salt in a small pot. Mix and bring to a boil (boils in 1 minute)
  3. When the liquid starts to bubble, turn off the heat and add it to the dry bowl and mix until it forms crumbs (I used my hands to help spread it out because the sour starch starts to stick. Be careful it's hot!);
  4. After the farofa is ready, add the mashed potato being at room temperature or cold and mix with your hands until it forms a homogeneous mass;
  5. Shape into small balls and bake in a preheated medium oven for about 30 to 45 minutes. Depends on each oven. It will be ready when you see cracks on the surface of the pellets.
