  • Butter | 3 tablespoons60 g
  • Cornmeal | 1 1/4 cup of tea215 g
  • Polvilho Doce | 1 1/4 cup of tea130 g
  • Sugar | 1/2 cup of tea110 g
  • Baking Powder | 1/2 tablespoon8 g
  1. In a bowl, mix the egg, sugar and butter until smooth. After that add the cornmeal and sprinkle and mix well with your hands until you form a ball with the dough. Add the yeast and knead again until completely incorporated into the dough. If the dough is too hard and crumbly, add a little more butter.
  2. Take small portions of the dough and make some worms of about 15 cm. Gather the ends and form the donut. Place the donuts in a greased shape with oil leaving a space between them as they double in size.
  3. Take to preheated to 200° between 12 and 15 minutes. When the bottom edge starts to turn slightly golden, it's ready. While it's hot it will be soft, so let it cool down to take it out of the mold.
