- Recipe
- 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine50 g
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour350 g
- 2 tablespoons of corn starch30 g
- 1 packet of Parmesan cheese50 g
- 1 liter of milk1000 ml
- Egg Yolk2 unit(s)
- 2 tablespoons of powdered milk25 g
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric2 g
- Mozzarella cheese to taste
- Egg white2 unit(s)
- 1/2 cup of milk100 ml
- Breadcrumbs to taste
- In a pan put the milk, corn starch, saffron, powdered milk, parmesan cheese, salt and mix. Bring to a boil and stir until it boils and thickens.
- Remove the pan from the heat, add the butter or margarine and while stirring, gradually add the wheat flour and finally add the sifted yolks.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until it becomes a smooth and uniform mass and let it cool completely.
- Separate portions of the dough and fill with a cube of cheese.
- For breading, mix the whites with 1/2 cup of milk and pass the balls in this mixture and then roll in the breadcrumbs.
- Fry the balls in hot oil until golden and serve.
