  • Ripe large tomato2 unit(s)
  • Garlic Clove1 unit(s)
  • Olive oil2 tablespoon
  • Basil2 unit(s)
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Oregano to taste
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (medium temperature).
  2. Cut the baguette into 1 cm slices. Arrange the slices on a large baking sheet, one next to the other, and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until crisp and lightly golden.
  3. Wash, dry and cut the tomatoes in half. Discard the seeds and cut each half into 0.5 cm cubes. Transfer the tomatoes to a bowl, add the basil leaves and drizzle with 2 tablespoons of oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix gently.
  4. Peel the garlic clove. To assemble the bruschetta: rub the garlic clove over each toast and place a portion of the seasoned tomato. Drizzle with a drizzle of olive oil and serve immediately.
