  • Wheat flour1 cup
  • Cornmeal1 cup
  • Sugar1 cup
  • Butter2 tablespoon
  • Egg1 unit(s)
  • Fennel to taste
  • Milk to taste
  • Yeast1 tablespoon
  1. Mix the cornmeal, flour, yeast and sugar.
  2. Add the lightly beaten egg, butter and fennel and mix with your fingertips.
  3. Add the milk little by little, just enough to bind. It's a mass similar to "rotten dough".
  4. Grease a mold and sprinkle cornmeal.
  5. Make balls with the dough and accommodate in the shape. Slightly flatten the balls and brush with egg yolk.
  6. Bake in preheated oven until golden.
