- Wheat flour1 cup
- Sugar2 tablespoon
- Salt / unit: 1 pinch1 unit(s)
- Yeast1 teaspoon
- Milk1 cup
- Butter2 tablespoon
- Vanilla essence / unit: 4 drops4 unit(s)
- Egg1 unit(s)
- Add in a bowl and mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
- Microwave the milk and butter for 40 seconds. Remove and mix until the butter melts.
- Add the buttermilk to the dry ingredient mixture. Mix.
- Add the vanilla essence and the previously beaten egg. Stir until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- In the preheated sandwich maker, put a little butter to grease (if the sandwich maker has a good non-stick surface, it is not necessary to add the butter).
- Add a ladle of the dough to the sandwich maker. The dough should be distributed in the space with a small gap from the edge, as the dough rises a little while baking. Leave the dough in the sandwich maker until golden. As here at home the top did not touch the grill, I preferred to turn it over to brown the side of the pancake that was on top. In the sandwich maker here at home the recipe yielded two shells. That is, I repeated this step twice.
- Ideas for topping (when it's time to eat): Butter; honey; peanut butter; jam; condensed milk; cream cheese; maple syrup, caramel, chocolate, strawberry syrup; fruits like bananas and strawberries.
