- Clean and lightly mashed canned sardines2 unit(s)
- Homemade tomato sauce1.5 cup
- Dried Oregano1 teaspoon
- Chopped Onion1/4 cup
- Fresh Basil to taste
- Chopped Chives1 tablespoon
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil1 dessert spoon
- Finely grated carrot2 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- In a pan heat the oil and brown the onion.
- Add the carrot and sauté quickly.
- Add the sauce, oregano, sardines, season with salt and pepper and mix. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes.
- Finish with fresh basil and chives. Serve accompanied by mashed potatoes.
