- Octopus1.5 kg
- Large sliced onion2 unit(s)
- Large sliced carrot2 unit(s)
- Sliced Sicilian Lemon1 unit(s)
- Thyme to taste
- Rosemary to taste
- Salt to taste
- White peppercorns to taste
- Fill pan with cold water until it covers the octopus.
- Season the water with carrots, onions, sliced lemons, rosemary, thyme, salt and white peppercorns.
- Let the octopus cook for 45 minutes on very low heat.
- After 45 minutes your octopus should be ready.
- Test with a fork on the chubby part of the tentacle, if it's soft, it's ready
- Remove the octopus and immerse in ice water to stop the cooking.
- Heat a frying pan with oil and place the octopus tentacles on the grill.
- Add butter and thyme for more flavor and softness.
- Grill for 5 minutes each side or until browned and slightly crispy.
