  • Octopus1.5 kg
  • Large sliced onion2 unit(s)
  • Large sliced carrot2 unit(s)
  • Sliced Sicilian Lemon1 unit(s)
  • Thyme to taste
  • Rosemary to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • White peppercorns to taste
  1. Fill pan with cold water until it covers the octopus.
  2. Season the water with carrots, onions, sliced lemons, rosemary, thyme, salt and white peppercorns.
  3. Let the octopus cook for 45 minutes on very low heat.
  4. After 45 minutes your octopus should be ready.
  5. Test with a fork on the chubby part of the tentacle, if it's soft, it's ready
  6. Remove the octopus and immerse in ice water to stop the cooking.
  7. Heat a frying pan with oil and place the octopus tentacles on the grill.
  8. Add butter and thyme for more flavor and softness.
  9. Grill for 5 minutes each side or until browned and slightly crispy.
