Recipe for Greek-style rice by chef Luísa Colombi

In addition to being a practical and delicious recipe to prepare, the Greek-style rice recipe is prepared here on Delirec by chef Luísa Colombi, a cooking enthusiast who teaches beautiful recipes - such as a gluten-free garland pizza - tasty, and above all, with her, you learn to cook in a practical and healthy way. Her dishes are geared towards nutritious and inclusive preparation, serving various tastes and dietary restrictions.

Did you know that Greek-style rice is actually Brazilian?

Simple Greek-style rice has no relation to Greece!

This statement may surprise you a bit, after all, the name itself says "Greek-style", so how is it not Greek? Some people associate it that way, but the idea of this differentiated and delicious way of preparing rice, with raisins and small pieces of cooked vegetables, traditionally belongs to our beloved Brazil.

It is that dish that serves as a side dish or even as the main dish for a Sunday lunch, a dinner after coming home from work and wanting to prepare something tasty and very practical, or simply any day you want to make your rice more succulent and nutritious.

And you can still make the Greek-style rice "gourmet" and take this basic recipe and add more ingredients, such as baking it in a dish with cheese on top, which would already name it as baked rice, also adding pieces of meat or corn to the pot, olives ... the possibilities are endless!
