  • Garlic4 unit(s)
  • Mint leaves3 unit(s)
  • Wheat flour1 tablespoon
  • Cumin1 coffee spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Mozzarella100 g
  • Peeled Tomato1 unit(s)
  • Water1 cup
  • Girl's Finger Pepper1 unit(s)
  • Sugar1 coffee spoon
  • Olive oil2 tablespoon
  • Basil to taste
  1. In a bowl mix the meat with the wheat flour, half a chopped onion, two cloves of minced garlic, cumin, the chopped mint leaves, salt and black pepper. Divide into 2 portions. Take one of the portions, divide in half and mold like a hamburger, fill with mozzarella and cover with the remaining half, close tightly and repeat the process with the other portion. Take a frying pan to the fire, when it is hot, drizzle with a little oil and sear the polpetones on both sides, one at a time. Reserve
  2. For the sauce: chop half an onion, two cloves of garlic and the seedless girl's finger pepper. Sauté the onion in a tablespoon of olive oil, when it wilts add the garlic and pepper. Add 1 can of tomato peel and a cup of water, after boiling, let it cook on low heat for 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper, sugar to break the acidity. Finish with chopped basil leaves
  3. Mounting Place a little sauce on the bottom of a platter, place the polpetones, cover with a little more sauce and bake in a medium oven (200°) covered with aluminum foil for 20 minutes. After that time, remove from the oven, cover with more mozzarella and sauce, put it in the oven just to melt. Fry an egg and serve on top. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or your favorite pasta.
