  • water1 cup
  • rice vinegar1/2 cup
  • ketchup1/2 cup
  • sugar1/2 cup
  • Sichuan pepper or pepperoni pepper1/2 tablespoon
  • Star Anise3 unit(s)
  • pork loin500 g
  • soy2 tablespoon
  • minced garlic2 unit(s)
  • wheat1 tablespoon
  • corn starch3 tablespoon
  • salt1 teaspoon
  • Onion in thin petals1 unit(s)
  • Oil for sautéing to taste
  1. Sweet and sour sauce In a pan, place the sugar, ketchup, rice vinegar, water and spices. Mix and boil over low heat for 10 minutes. Reserve
  2. Cut the loin into cubes and place in a bowl.
  3. add rice vinegar, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, wheat and corn starch to the meat bowl. Stir until all ingredients are well incorporated into the meat.
  4. Let the meat marinate in this mixture for 30 minutes in the fridge.
  5. In a wok or large skillet, place the oil and the marinated loin.
  6. Fry the meat a little and then add the onion into thin petals.
  7. Then add the reserved sweet and sour sauce and stir to incorporate it into the ingredients. Leave the fire on for 5 minutes.
  8. After that serve, it perfectly accompanies a white rice
