- Recipe
- Steaks of your choice (I used Rump)4 unit(s)
- Seasoning Smoke Powder1 coffee spoon
- Smoked paprika to taste
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Large Potatoes4 unit(s)
- Chimichurry1 teaspoon
- Saffron1 coffee spoon
- Olive oil3 tablespoon
- Sliced Onion1 unit(s)
- Season the steaks with the smoke powder, paprika, salt and pepper. Book at room temperature.
- Cut the potatoes in half lengthwise, and cut again to form this canoe cut. Pre cook the potatoes in salted water for 4 to 5 minutes just to soften them internally, they should be very firm. Drain the water and season with a little more salt, chimichurry, and saffron, drizzle with a spoonful of olive oil and mix the seasoning very well throughout the potatoes. Take the Air fryer for 15 minutes at 200°c stirring a little halfway through the time to brown evenly. You can also do it in the oven, cover a form with greased baking paper, spread the potatoes well and leave until golden.
- Heat a heavy-bottomed skillet well. Drizzle with the rest of the olive oil and place the steaks leaving space between them, do not stir until the sides are very whitish, turn and let them brown on the other side for another 2 minutes, if you prefer it more well done, leave it a little longer, but not too much. do not dry out the meat. With the skillet very hot and without pressing or handling the meat too much, it will preserve the liquids inside the steaks and keep the succulence. Remove from the pan and let the meat rest for a minute before serving, you will have very juicy and tasty steaks.
- In the same frying pan that made the steaks, place the onions and mix well, the onion will sweat a little and thus release the "little bottom" of flavor left by the steaks. Add the steaks to the onion and it will be ready. Then just serve with your crispy potatoes.
