Discover a little about the origin of the green corn pudding

The green corn pudding is that type of recipe that many have the habit of saying that you don't "eat with your eyes", because on some days it can end up being a little imperfect, mainly because it is not a traditional milk pudding and the what matters most is that, regardless of how it looks, it's divine!

There are countless stories about the pudding and contrary to what many think, there are reports that talk about the first puddings originated being salty and not sweet, like the famous milk pudding that everyone knows and many love. Before this version known throughout our Brazil, the pudding was already called pudding cake and had several different ways of preparation.

In Europe and around the world, pudding recipes are made that even serve as the main dish of some meals and this is due to the fact that dishes like polenta, for example, can be seen as puddings in some places. Brazilians are passionate about sweet pudding, but he has many “relatives” out there.

Like many other recipes, the green corn pudding is one of the desserts that came from the base of the original recipe and underwent some modifications. The pudding can also be prepared with lighter ingredients, in versions without much sugar.
