Sweet potato puree with orange juice

Lave e corte a batata em pedaços grandes 

Wash and cut the potato into large pieces

Ferva a batata e escorra água quando a batata estiver cozida, depois deixe a batata arrefecer e depois descasque-a e corte em pedaços menores 

Boil the potato and drain water when the potato is cooked, then let the potato cool and then peel it and cut it into smaller pieces

Em uma panela coloque o sumo de  meia laranja, as natas/ creme de leite, a manteiga, o tomilho, o sal e a pimenta, misture tudo ainda com o fogo apagado 

In a pan, place the juice of half an orange, the cream/milk cream, the butter, the thyme, the salt and the pepper, mix everything still with the fire off.

Acenda o fogo e quando levantar fervura acrescente a batata triturada, depois de acrescentar a batata desligue o fogo e mexa até obter uma consistência homogénea (no início vai parecer como se estivesse a dissolver uma massa, mexa com paciência) depois de obter a consistência homogénea passe a varinha mágica outra vez para triturar os gruminhos que possam existir.


Turn the heat on and when it boils add the mashed potato, after adding the potato turn off the heat and stir until you get a homogeneous consistency (at first it will look like you are dissolving a mass, stir with patience) after obtaining the homogeneous consistency pass the magic wand again to crush the lumps that may exist.


Prove o sal, e a pimenta para saber se está como gosta, depois já pode servir o puré, se quiser pode decorar com um raminho de tomilho.

Taste the salt and pepper to see if you like it, then you can serve the puree, if you want you can decorate with a sprig of thyme.
