- Italian bread, semi-Italian or baguette (bread + firm)300 g
- Italian Tomato2 unit(s)
- Fresh Basil to taste
- Black pepper and salt to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil to taste
- Garlic Clove1 unit(s)
- Start by cutting slices on the side about 1 finger high. Brown each slice in olive oil and set aside.
- Remove the seeds from the tomato and cut into small cubes.
- Add chopped fresh basil to the tomato, adjust the salt, black pepper and about 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix everything and reserve.
- Cut the garlic clove in half and rub it well on the surface of each slice. Arrange the tomatoes on the bread and it is ready to serve.
- Optional: grating parmesan over the tomatoes and finishing with basil leaves.
- It is an excellent starter, light and very tasty, always surprising despite its simplicity.
