  • Italian bread, semi-Italian or baguette (bread + firm)300 g
  • Italian Tomato2 unit(s)
  • Fresh Basil to taste
  • Black pepper and salt to taste
  • Extra virgin olive oil to taste
  • Garlic Clove1 unit(s)
  1. Start by cutting slices on the side about 1 finger high. Brown each slice in olive oil and set aside.
  2. Remove the seeds from the tomato and cut into small cubes.
  3. Add chopped fresh basil to the tomato, adjust the salt, black pepper and about 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. Mix everything and reserve.
  4. Cut the garlic clove in half and rub it well on the surface of each slice. Arrange the tomatoes on the bread and it is ready to serve.
  5. Optional: grating parmesan over the tomatoes and finishing with basil leaves.
  6. It is an excellent starter, light and very tasty, always surprising despite its simplicity.
