- Recipe
- Beans200 g
- Cabbage6 unit(s)
- Bacon100 g
- Pepperoni100 g
- Large onion1/2 unit(s)
- Pepper1/2 unit(s)
- Tomato1/2 unit(s)
- Garlic4 unit(s)
- Scented Pepper2 unit(s)
- Green Smell1 to taste
- Salt1 to taste
- Cassava flour1 to taste
- Start by cooking the beans of your choice until al dente (I used carioca)
- After cooking, in a pan, put some fat and fry the bacon and pepperoni (I don't remove the fat later, this fat makes all the difference in the farofa, it makes the farofa moist and tasty), I don't leave the bacon and fried pepperoni a lot so it doesn't lose its juiciness
- Add the crushed garlic, onion, pepper, pepper and chopped tomato, let it sauté. Add salt to taste, the beans, the green smell and let it sauté a little longer.
- Add the manioc flour to your liking. If you like the tropeiro beans wetter, add less flour, if you like them drier, add more flour. Turn off the fire
- Add the chopped cabbage (with the heat off), cover the pan. The cabbage will reach the ideal point only with the heat of the pan.. it will bring crunchiness to the dish
