  • Mozzarella4 unit(s)
  • Wheat flour2 cup
  • Eggs5 unit(s)
  • Breadcrumbs2 cup
  1. Peel and cut onions into 1 cm rings. Separate the rings.
  2. Cut the slice into 4 equal strips.
  3. Arrange a ring inside a larger one.
  4. Fill in the space between them with the mozzarella strips.
  5. Repeat with the remaining onions and freeze for an hour.
  6. Separate the eggs, flour and breadcrumbs into separate bowls.
  7. Dip each ring in flour, then in egg, then in breadcrumbs. Do the same with the remaining rings.
  8. Heat the oil over high heat. Fry the rings until golden brown, being careful not to over-fry so the cheese doesn't leak out.
  9. Remove excess oil with a paper towel and serve with tomato sauce.
