- Chopped Onion1 cup
- White Vinegar1/2 cup
- Refined sugar3/4 cup
- Salt1 tablespoon
- Turmeric1/2 coffee spoon
- Mustard Grain1 teaspoon
- Baking soda1/2 coffee spoon
- Wash the cucumbers well as we will keep the skins. Cut them in half and remove the seeds. Drain the cucumbers down the drain and in a bowl mix the cucumbers, chopped onion and salt. Transfer to a sieve and let it rest for 1 hour to lose all liquid.
- Place the sieve ingredients in a pan and add the remaining ingredients. Let it boil for 12 minutes.
- Transfer to a sterilized glass, cover and once cool, store in the fridge for at least 24 hours before consuming.
