Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Corte as batatas e coloque para cozinhar, até estarem bem macias. Escorra a água e reserve.

Cut the potatoes and put them to cook until they are very soft. Drain the water and reserve.

Na panela que cozinhou as batatas, derreta a manteiga com um fio de azeite e frite levemento os alhos (se forem grandes, corte ao meio). Não deixe a manteiga nem o alho queimar, é só o suficiente para eles não ficarem totalmente crus. Se não gostar de alho, é só fazer sem.

In the pan that cooked the potatoes, melt the butter with a drizzle of olive oil and lightly fry the garlic (if large, cut in half). Don't let the butter or garlic burn, it's just enough to keep them from being completely raw. If you don't like garlic, just do it without.

Tempere com sal e pimenta do reino a gosto, enquanto os alhos fritam.

Season with salt and pepper to taste, while the garlic is frying.

Adicione o creme de leite, misture tudo e deixe um pouco no fogo, sem ferver a mistura.

Add the cream, mix everything and leave it on the fire a little, without boiling the mixture.

Adicione as batatas, amasse e misture bem. Sirva em seguida.

Add the potatoes, mash and mix well. Serve immediately.

OBS.: Se sobrar, pode congelar. Quando quiser comer novamente, deixe descongelar na geladeira de véspera e esquente na hora de servir. 

NOTE: If you have leftovers, you can freeze them. When you want to eat again, let it thaw in the fridge the night before and reheat before serving.
