- Cassava Flour300 g
- Diced Bacon100 g
- Large onions2 unit(s)
- Green smell to taste
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Butter1 tablespoon
- Start by frying the bacon until it becomes crispy and releases all the fat.
- Remove the bacon and in the same pan add the onions cut into half moons. Saute over low heat for about ten minutes, stirring constantly, until the onion caramelizes well.
- Remove the onion from the pan and set aside. In the same pan add the butter and as soon as it melts add the cassava flour, stir over low heat until golden and crispy. Turn off the fire.
- Return the onion and bacon to the pan, adjust the salt, pepper and add a lot of green smell. Let it cool and serve. The onion brings a smooth sweetness to the farofa, the flavor is incredible!
