- cucumber1 unit(s)
- clear vinegar (I used sugar cane)500 ml
- clove4 unit(s)
- juniper6 unit(s)
- star anise1 unit(s)
- pink pepper8 unit(s)
- sugar3 tablespoon
- combine all the ingredients, except the cucumber, in a medium sized pot.
- place over high heat, let it cook for 1 or 2 minutes after it boils.
- place the sliced cucumber in a bowl and cover with the entire contents of the pan and let it cool.
- can be packed in an old canning jar and kept for at least 30 days. use it in my hamburger recipes and whatever else you want to add acidity and texture.
