- Sifted wheat flour280 g
- Whey-free cream200 ml
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Place the cream and salt in a bowl and add the sifted flour. Mix with your hands or with a mixer until it becomes a consistent dough, similar to bread dough.
- If the dough is still too soft after kneading, sprinkle in a little more flour. If it gets hard, add a few tablespoons of water or milk.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes, that way it will be firmer and easier to model. With the help of a rolling pin, open the dough on a floured surface and cut discs with a diameter of about 12 cm.
- Put the filling of your choice, which can be sweet or savory - check out our suggestions for 50 easy-to-make pastry fillings. Arrange the pastries in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 20-30 minutes or until golden
- Brush the pastries with beaten egg yolk, so they look nice after baking.
