  • Butter150 g
  • Sugar150 g
  • Eggs4 unit(s)
  • Lemon zest3 unit(s)
  • Natural yogurt50 ml
  • Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)100 ml
  • Wheat flour2 cup
  • Baking powder10 g
  • Icing: icing sugar1/2 cup
  • Icing: vanilla essence (drops)3 to taste
  • Icing: lemon juice100 ml
  1. Preheat the oven to 205º, grease and flour a mold with a hole in the middle.
  2. Beat the butter with the sugar in the mixer until it forms a very fluffy cream.
  3. Gradually add the eggs, one white or yolk at a time, beating on high speed.
  4. This way it prevents the mixture from curdling, add the lemon zest and beat to mix.
  5. Add the flour, yeast and yogurt previously mixed with lemon juice.
  6. Turn off the mixer and mix gently with a spatula just enough to make sure there are no lumps of unincorporated flour.
  7. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 5 minutes at a temperature of 205º, apo6 lower to 180º and bake for another 25-30 minutes.
  8. Let cool and then unmold
  9. Icing: In a small bowl, mix the sugar, vanilla and lemon juice.
  10. Pour over the still warm cake.
