  • Wheat Flour (4 1/2 cup)4 cup
  • Warm water1 cup
  • Margarine2 tablespoon
  • Salt1 teaspoon
  • Sugar2 tablespoon
  • Egg2 unit(s)
  • Organic Dry Yeast10 g
  1. Start by cooking the yam, after cooking, knead and reserve 250 g.
  2. Prepare a Sponge with the yeast. Want to know how? I posted a recipe teaching here. The amount of water and sugar in the sponge will decrease the ingredients in this recipe.
  3. In a mixer, place the mashed yam, eggs, margarine, salt and sugar and beat well, pour into a bowl, add the yeast sponge and gradually add the wheat flour, mixing well. Knead this dough a lot. Place the kneaded dough in a container, cover and leave until doubled in volume. Place the dough on a floured surface and shape the buns into the desired shape. Place on a baking sheet, let rise again until doubled in volume. If desired, brush an egg over the buns to make them golden and shiny on top. Bake in preheated oven and leave for approximately 30 to 40 minutes at 180° or until golden.
