  • Milk1 cup

  • Olive oil2 tablespoon

  • Fresh basil to taste2 unit(s)
  • Tomato Extract3 teaspoon
  • Beef broth tablet1 unit(s)
  • Chopped Mozzarella400 g
  • Salt to taste1 mg
  1. To make the dough, cook the potato with salt and mash it. Add the egg, margarine, milk, flour, salt to taste and knead until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Add more than half of the chopped mozzarella (about 300 g) to the dough. To make the stuffing, put the oil in a pan and fry the garlic and onion. Add the ground beef and a beef stock cube, let it cook for about 10 minutes. Add the chopped tomato, tomato paste and 1 glass of water. Add sugar and salt to taste. Cook everything on low heat until the sauce is consistent. Only at the end add the fresh basil leaves. Turn off the heat and let the sauce cool. In a refractory shape greased with margarine, place half of the potato gnocchi dough. Then pour 2/3 of the meat sauce. Cover with the rest of the pasta and, on top, the rest of the sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and place in the oven covered with aluminum foil. The dough should be baked for about 20 minutes in a high oven. It can be served with white rice.
