Cozinhe as batatas até ficarem bem moles.

Cook the potatoes until they are very soft.

Descasque-as ainda quentes e esprema as batatas no espremedor.

Peel them while still hot and squeeze the potatoes in the ricer.

Despeje as batatas em um recipiente e acrescente a margarina, o sal e o alho, e mexa até que a margarina derreta por completo.

Pour the potatoes into a container and add the margarine, salt and garlic, and stir until the margarine is completely melted.

Acrescente o leite aos poucos e continue mexendo.

Add the milk little by little and keep stirring.
