  • Coconut oil (babassu)3 tablespoon
  • Parsley (parsley) to taste
  • Tomato to taste
  • Onion to taste
  • Garlic to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Dye(paprika) to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Chili to taste
  • Water6 cup
  1. First you need to cook white beans (most used in Marenense cuisine), and when you're ready an important tip don't let the beans get too soft, their point is a little hard, right? , and everything ok! pour the white beans into the pan.
  2. Add salt with garlic (chopped), black pepper, coloring, peppers, parsley, tomatoes, onions and finish with water and babassu coconut oil.
  3. Place the white bean pan with all the spices on a high heat.
  4. When it's boiling, put the rice and stir very slowly to mix all the seasonings in the rice.
  5. Let the water dry and then cover the pan so that the rice can dry (an expression used in Maranhão for the rice to be ready).
  6. The dry rice, serve as you wish (meat, chicken or salad).
