- Egg Yolks3 unit(s)
- Egg whites3 unit(s)
- Demerara sugar or xylitol sweetener2 cup
- Butter at room temperature1/2 cup
- Wheat flour or almond or oat flour2 cup
- Baking Powder1 tablespoon
- Chopped walnuts1 cup
- Candied Cherries1 cup
- Nuts to decorate the cake to taste
- Fresh cherries to decorate the cake to taste
- Plain yogurt200 g
- In a mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside in another bowl.
- In the mixer add the egg yolks, sugar and butter at room temperature and beat well
- Gradually add the flour, beat until smooth
- Add the chopped walnuts and candied cherries and beat again.
- Finally add the baking powder and beat a little
- Add the natural yogurt and mix with a spatula or spoon
- Add the egg whites and mix gently until smooth
- Unite a form of English cake with little butter and flour
- Put the dough in the mold and decorate with nuts to taste.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 35 to 40 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely and unmold carefully.
- Decorate with the fresh cherries and that's it đđđ
- Tip: you can replace candied cherries with candied fruit or raisins or chocolate drops đ«
