- Dark chocolate150 g
- unsalted butter150 g
- Shelled almonds100 g

- Refined sugar250 g
- Cocoa powder4 tablespoon
- Sicilian lemon (zest and juice)1 unit(s)
- Butter and parchment paper for greasing to taste
- Melt the chocolate with the butter in the microwave. Put it every 20 seconds and always stir between these times so it doesn't burn. When it reaches a liquid consistency, set aside.
- Blend the almonds in a blender until they become a flour. It's okay if you keep a few pieces, it's delicious. Reserve.
- Beat the eggs with the sugar in the mixer until double in size (takes about 5 minutes). Mix cocoa and ground almonds and mix well. Then add the lemon juice and zest and the melted chocolate with the butter (step 1) and stir gently until everything is incorporated.
- Grease a base form with a removable one with butter and place parchment paper on the bottom of the form. Put the dough in the shape and take it to the oven (preheated to 180°) for 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and wait to cool completely before unmolding (about 2 hours).
- If desired, sprinkle icing sugar on top (only when serving).
- Important: the cake doesn't really have yeast, it gets softer and with a texture similar to brownie.
