  • Wheat flour2 cup
  • Sugar1 cup
  • Oil100 ml
  • Water300 ml
  • Vinegar15 ml
  • Yeast1 tablespoon
  • Baking soda1/4 coffee spoon
  • Salt1/4 coffee spoon
  • Nutmeg Powder1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon powder1 teaspoon
  • Clove powder1 teaspoon
  • White raisin50 g
  • Dark raisin50 g
  • Rum100 ml
  1. Soak the raisins in the rum. Reserve.
  2. Pre heat the oven at an average temperature of 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix the oil, sugar, vinegar and water.
  4. Gradually add the flour and mix gently.
  5. When the dough is uniform, add the raisins, salt and spices.
  6. Finally, add the bicarbonate of soda.
  7. Put the dough in a greased shape with oil and brown sugar.
  8. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Do not open the oven before 20 minutes.
  9. After the first 30 minutes, check if the cake is cooked by inserting a toothpick. When the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is ready. The time will depend on your oven.
