- Ripe pears4 unit(s)
- Water500 ml
- Sugar250 g
- Star Anise3 unit(s)
- Cinnamon stick1 unit(s)
- Tahiti Lemon Juice1/2 unit(s)
- Peel the pears. Cut into four pieces, remove the pit. Divide each part into one more part, so we have medium slices. Drizzle the pears with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown. Reserve.
- In a pan put the water, sugar and the rest of the ingredients and make a thin syrup. Add the pears and cook for 15 minutes, or until they are tender.
- Carefully remove the pear pieces and place in sterilized jars.
- Leave the syrup on medium heat for another 10 minutes. Carefully cover the pears with the boiling syrup. Immediately close the windows. Let cool and store in a cool place.
- Take it to the fridge before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
