No liquidificador bata o leite, os ovos, o açúcar, o sal, a margarina e a banha, bata até formar um creme liso e denso, passe para outro recipiente, reserve.


In the blender, beat the milk, eggs, sugar, salt, margarine and lard, beat until it forms a smooth and dense cream, transfer to another container, set aside.


Em outro recipiente peneire e misture muito bem a farinha de trigo, o fubá e o fermento, misture na farinha o queijo tipo minas ralado, vá acrescentando a farinha de trigo aos poucos intercalando com o creme do liquidificador.

In another container, sift and mix the wheat flour, cornmeal and yeast very well, mix the grated Minas cheese in the flour, gradually add the wheat flour interspersing with the cream from the blender.

Coloque a massa na forma untada e enfarinhada. Leve para assar em forno pré-aquecido a 180° por cerca de 40 min ou até que espetando um palito ele saia seco.

Place the dough in the greased and floured form. Bake in a preheated oven at 180° for about 40 min or until a toothpick inserted comes out dry.

Retire do forno, deixe mornar e desenforme.
