Housemade condensed milk

Leve o açúcar cristal com o leite ao fogo médio e misture até o açúcar derreter. Mantenha no fogo, mexendo de vez em quando, até encorpar e ficar com cor de caramelo claro (uns 35 minutos).

Take the granulated sugar with the milk over medium heat and mix until the sugar melts. Keep on the fire, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and becomes a light caramel color (about 35 minutes).

Transfira para a tigela da batedeira e bata bem até esfriar (uns 15 minutos). Utilize.

Transfer to the bowl of an electric mixer and beat well until cool (about 15 minutes). Use.
