  • Wheat flour1 cup
  • Cornmeal2 cup
  • Sugar2 cup
  • Milk1 cup
  • Soybean oil2/3 cup
  • Baking powder1 tablespoon
  • Guava cut into cubes2 cup
  • Boiling water100 ml
  • Salt to taste
  1. In the blender you will beat the eggs, milk, oil and sugar.
  2. You will put the mixture in a container and mix it with the wheat flour, cornmeal, yeast, until it becomes a very homogeneous mixture.
  3. In a round shape with a hole in the middle, greased with a little margarine and wheat flour, you will put some of the cake dough, a little guava paste in cubes, reserve guava paste for the syrup, then more dough, more guava paste, and repeat the process until the ingredients run out.
  4. You must take it to the oven at 200C for 35-40 minutes, after that pierce the cake with a toothpick, if the toothpick comes out clean your cake is ready, wait for it to cool and unmold, the next step will be the syrup.
  5. For the syrup you will add the guava paste that you have reserved along with the boiling water and a pinch of salt and you will beat everything in the blender until it forms a homogeneous syrup, the salt is to accentuate the taste of the guava paste and that is it you can put it on top of the your cake that is already stuffed with guava inside too.
