- Butter or margarine1/2 cup
- Demerara or refined sugar or xylitol sweetener1 cup
- Egg Yolks4 unit(s)
- Whole or semi-skimmed milk1/2 cup
- Wheat Flour2 cup
- Almond flour1/2 cup
- Corn Starch1 cup
- Baking Powder1 tablespoon
- Whipped egg whites4 unit(s)
- Candied fruit1 cup
- Black raisins1 cup
- Cranberries1/2 cup
- Candied fruit and raisins to decorate the cake to taste
- Beat the butter at room temperature with the sugar or sweetener in a mixer
- Add the egg yolks one by one and continue beating.
- Add milk and flour little by little
- Add the sifted cornstarch and baking powder and beat again until smooth.
- Lastly, add the egg whites and gently mix with a whisk.
- Dredge the candied fruit, raisins and cranberries in the flour so they don't sink into the cake.
- Add the berries to the dough and mix gently
- Unite a form of English cake with butter and flour
- Put the dough in the mold and decorate with candied fruits and raisins to taste.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about an hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely and unmold carefully.
- Great option to serve during Christmas dinner đđ
