  • Butter or margarine1/2 cup
  • Demerara or refined sugar or xylitol sweetener1 cup
  • Egg Yolks4 unit(s)
  • Whole or semi-skimmed milk1/2 cup
  • Wheat Flour2 cup
  • Almond flour1/2 cup
  • Corn Starch1 cup
  • Baking Powder1 tablespoon
  • Whipped egg whites4 unit(s)
  • Candied fruit1 cup
  • Black raisins1 cup
  • Cranberries1/2 cup
  • Candied fruit and raisins to decorate the cake to taste
  1. Beat the butter at room temperature with the sugar or sweetener in a mixer
  2. Add the egg yolks one by one and continue beating.
  3. Add milk and flour little by little
  4. Add the sifted cornstarch and baking powder and beat again until smooth.
  5. Lastly, add the egg whites and gently mix with a whisk.
  6. Dredge the candied fruit, raisins and cranberries in the flour so they don't sink into the cake.
  7. Add the berries to the dough and mix gently
  8. Unite a form of English cake with butter and flour
  9. Put the dough in the mold and decorate with candied fruits and raisins to taste.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about an hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool completely and unmold carefully.
  12. Great option to serve during Christmas dinner 🎄🎅
