  • Unsalted butter OR chilled margarine (approx. 5 heaping tablespoons).100 g
  • Brown sugar (approx. 5 tablespoons).50 g
  • Crystal sugar (approx. 5 tablespoons).50 g
  • Egg.1 unit(s)
  • Wheat flour (approx. 1 3/4 cup).200 g
  • Baking soda.1 teaspoon
  • Salt.1/2 teaspoon
  • Vanilla essence.1 teaspoon
  • Chopped chocolate OR chocolate chips.100 g
  • Nutella (can substitute for melted chocolate).300 g
  1. Beat the chilled butter and sugars in an electric mixer for 5 minutes. Add the egg, vanilla essence and salt, beat for 2 minutes. Add the flour and bicarbonate of soda, beat until combined.
  2. Add the chocolate and mix using a spatula.
  3. Leave the dough in the fridge for 10 minutes before assembling in the form.
  4. In a 16cm diameter shape, with a removable bottom, place the dough and spread it on the bottom and sides of the shape. Leave dough for the cookie lid.
  5. Place the nutella in the middle and spread, cover the nutella with pieces of dough. Do not completely fill the mold as it grows a little.
  6. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let it cool a little, unmold and you can serve!
