- 2 cups of sugar320 g
- 5 tablespoons of butter or margarine125 g
- 2 cups of milk400 ml
- 2 cups of wheat flour200 g
- 1 cup cocoa or cocoa powder90 g
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder14 g
- In a bowl place the eggs, 1 cup of sugar, 4 tablespoons of butter and beat until you get a fluffy and light cream.
- Add the cocoa powder, wheat flour, milk and beat until you get a smooth and homogeneous mass.
- Add the baking powder and mix gently just until incorporated.
- Grease a shape with a hole in the middle with butter or margarine, pour the dough and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes.
- For the syrup, in a pan put 1 cup of sugar and melt until caramelized.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine, 1 cup of milk and stir until it boils and all the sugar is dissolved.
- Pierce the entire cake with a toothpick, pour the syrup over the cake, wait 15 minutes for the cake to absorb the liquid and serve.
